What is the difference between Live and Recorded captions?

We provide two types of captioning – live and recorded.

Live

Live captions are created for live events, where captions are needed in real time. Captions are often projected at events, or streamed directly to viewers’ devices. Live captions can also be streamed online to platforms like Facebook. After the event, we can deliver a transcript from the captions created.

Recorded

Recorded captions are created for recorded videos or audio files, where timed captions are needed. The audio is transcribed and then timed to match the timing of the audio content. We can also deliver a transcript from the captions created.
